Tell your senators to kill the current reconciliation bill!   Send a message Dear Momoko, Despite an unprecedented wave of backlash from across the country, Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) is still trying to force public lands sales through the Senate. If his provision is not stripped from the bill before a final vote is taken over the weekend, over a million acres of public lands could be marked for sale. The opposition to Senator Lee's effort is only mounting—we have incredible momentum and cannot give up now! Tell your senators to kill the current reconciliation bill! As of writing, the bill mandates the disposal of up to 1.2 million acres of public lands across 11 states. Many of the places currently eligible to be sold are not only vital landscapes, but also beloved and well-trafficked recreation spaces. If that weren't bad enough, the bill also mandates oil lease sales in the Arctic Refuge and more than doubles the amount of logging in western national forests. This bill is an obscene attack on our environment—we can't let it pass without a fight! Tell your senators to vote NO on the current reconciliation bill! Thank you for your advocacy and support. 🚨 ACTION NEEDED: Stop Trump’s rollback of Western Arctic protections!

New plans attempt to give away more public lands to oil and gas companies.

Tell the Trump admin: Hands off the Western Arctic!    Send a message Dear Momoko, The Interior Department wants to roll back hard-won protections for the Western Arctic—putting wildlife, Indigenous and local communities and our climate at risk. We can't let this happen!   Urge the Trump admin: STOP attacks on the Western Arctic! Officially known as the National Petroleum Reserve–Alaska, this 23-million-acre landscape is the largest tract of public land in the United States. It supports caribou, polar bears, migratory birds and a subsistence way of life for Nuiqsut and other nearby Alaskan communities.  Last year, the Biden administration put in place stronger protections from new oil and gas drilling, in particular on 13 million acres—ensuring maximum protection for five designated "Special Areas." Those areas, Teshekpuk Lake, Utukok River Uplands, Colville River, Kasegaluk Lagoon and Peard Bay, are considered to be of exceptional ecological and cultural significance.  Now those protections are on the chopping block.
