That's especially true for Western states, where the recent budget bill requires quarterly lease sales—regardless of actual industry interest—and allows fossil fuel corporations to lease lands at rock-bottom prices. Politicians have made their priorities clear: to tip the scales of public lands management in favor of polluters. But what do the people who live in those states actually want? |
