POP QUIZ! 💡Public lands edition

Guess the correct answer!

Momoko—with hiring freezes and dramatic cuts to the federal workforce underway, the question of who gets to make decisions about our shared public lands, waters, wildlife, and other natural resources couldn't be more urgent.

That's especially true for Western states, where the recent budget bill requires quarterly lease sales—regardless of actual industry interest—and allows fossil fuel corporations to lease lands at rock-bottom prices. Politicians have made their priorities clear: to tip the scales of public lands management in favor of polluters. But what do the people who live in those states actually want?

What percentage of people who live in Western U.S. states prefer to have career professionals like rangers and scientists make decisions about public lands over politicians?

Make your best guess! Click on your answer and we'll reveal the results—and show you how we can stand together to defend and conserve the wild places we love.

P.S. We're working to make sure that the people who live in and around our nation's shared public lands have a say in how they are managed—and we can only fight to keep public lands in public hands with your support. If you are able, please make a generous gift to help us fight reckless drilling, mining and logging in our most cherished landscapes and wild places >>
