Hi Momoko,
Affordable childcare remains one of the biggest barriers for working families, pushing millions, especially women, out of the workforce. For CAKES co-founders Taylor and Casey Capuano, this was personal and something they were determined to change.
One year ago, CAKES launched the Childcare Credit, providing up to $36,000 annually for employees. The impact is clear: supporting parents isn’t just a nice thing to do, it’s good for business.
Childcare support isn’t a perk, it’s essential. The U.S. childcare crisis costs $172B annually and rising.
Today, we’re launching the CAKES Childcare Movement, a call for businesses and employees to take action, backed by momentum from our NYC summit with policymakers, advocates, and leaders.
We’re also sharing our Childcare Credit policy as a blueprint to help others build better workplaces.
Ready to take action?

Let’s build a future where no one has to leave work because childcare is unaffordable.
