NEW REPORT: 10 landscapes at risk

A newly released report spotlights the places we need all hands on deck to protect.
New Report: 10 Public Landscapes in the Crosshairs.

Momoko, public lands truly are one of our country's best ideas: owned by all of us and open to everyone—not just the people with the biggest bank accounts and most influence.

But right now, leaders in Washington, D.C. are rapidly advancing a reckless agenda that prioritizes short-term corporate profits over clean water, wildlife habitat, Indigenous history and culture, and the freedom for everyone to access these lands and enjoy nature.

Our newly released report, Not for Sale: The Fight for Public Lands, highlights ten iconic landscapes that are currently at high risk of being stripped of protections so they can be used for drilling and mining. This report shows why these public lands are so special—and why your support matters so much right now.

There's something important to know: the public overwhelmingly agrees that public lands should stay protected. Large majorities of Western voters oppose removing protections to allow for drilling and mining, and strongly support keeping national monument designations in place, according to the Colorado College Conservation in the West poll.

These lands belong to all of us. They're not for sale—and together, we can keep them that way. Read more about why these landscapes—and all 10 featured in the report—are so important and learn more about the threats they're facing >>
