We won't meet this goal without you ⚠️

Rush your gift now to protect our public lands before it’s too late >>

Momoko, we only have until midnight tomorrow to raise the $20,000 we need to power our work defending against the administration’s attempts to privatize our nation’s beloved public lands. So much is at stake: from fragile ecosystems where wildlife thrive, to sacred landscapes communities depend on and future generations deserve to inherit and explore.

But with just hours left, we’re still short of this goal.

Will you rush your gift now to help close the gap? Together, we can protect the Northern Red Desert and Big Sandy Foothills, Baaj Nwaavjo I’tah Kukveni, the Greater Chaco Region and other irreplaceable public lands across the country.

Momoko, public lands are more than just spots on a map. They are a refuge for both people and wildlife. They afford us the freedom to enjoy the great outdoors. And to many, these lands are sacred—holding meaning for generations stretching back for millennia.

But right now, the administration and members of Congress are putting our public lands at risk: rolling back the Public Lands Rule ... confirming a fossil fuel ally to lead the Bureau of Land Management ... and rapidly advancing a dangerous agenda that prioritizes short-term, corporate profits over the health and well-being of these special places.

Our public lands belong in public hands. They are not for sale—and we must act now to defend them.

Donate today to power The Wilderness Society's work—in the halls of Congress, in the courts and on the ground in communities across the country—to protect the future of the wild places we all share.

Mountain range behind a field. America's public lands urgently need you.

We're counting on your support today to help us reach our $20,000 goal and protect magnificent wild places that are under attack like:

  • The Greater Chaco Region in New Mexico: Home to thousands of cultural and archaeological sites and sacred to the Pueblo, DinΓ© and other Indigenous peoples, Greater Chaco continues to face the fossil fuel industry's relentless attempts to drill these lands. With the administration moving to revoke the area's 20-year ban on oil and gas development, we need your help to make it clear that Chaco and other sacred public lands are not for sale >>
  • The Northern Red Desert and Big Sandy Foothills in Wyoming: This vast landscape includes areas of cultural importance for many tribes in the region and supports mule deer migrations and sage-grouse habitat. But the administration recently reopened the region's resource management plan in order to roll-back vital protections and open the door to drilling. Give now to help protect Wyoming's wildlands >>
  • Baaj Nwaavjo I'tah Kukveni–Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument in Arizona: This national monument protects cultural sites, drinking water and incredible biodiversity in lands surrounding the Grand Canyon—but it now faces an attack that would abolish protections and open the door to uranium mining. Help defend sacred Tribal lands and waters with a gift today >>

GIVE BEFORE JUNE 30TH

Momoko, this isn't the first time some of our country's most special places have been under attack—and it won't be the last. But time and time again, we come together to stand up and defend these places, for today and for future generations.

Please do your part by rushing a gift to help keep these vital landscapes out of the hands of corporate polluters >>
