There’s still a little time to share your favorite images of America’s public lands in The Wilderness Society’s 2026 Wilderness Photo Contest—but entries close Aug. 31 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
From Ansel Adams to George A. Grant, photographers have long helped us see the beauty and importance of America’s public lands. We’re inviting you to add your own images to that legacy.
We’re looking for photographs that capture the landscapes, wildlife and outdoor moments that make public lands worth protecting—and worth handing down to future generations. The places where we find adventure, make memories and experience the freedom to roam.
Enter by Aug. 31 at 11:59 ET for a chance to win!
$5,000 grand prize
$1,000 per category
If you are a passionate photographer, we invite you to participate!
Not a photographer? Share the contest with someone who is. A family member, friend, colleague or fellow outdoor lover may have the perfect image to enter.
These places were handed down to us. Now it’s our turn to celebrate them, protect them and help hand them down intact.
The clock is ticking. Enter by Aug. 31.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
