In just the past few months, we've seen the administration:
❌ Virtually eliminate Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante national monuments in Utah, stripping protections from nearly 3 million acres of public lands that are sacred to Tribal nations and home to important archaeological sites, cultural resources and abundant wildlife.
❌ Move to fast-track oil and gas drilling across Alaska's Western Arctic, weakening environmental review and removing opportunities for public input—while opening more of this globally significant landscape to fossil fuel destruction.
❌ Hold one of the largest oil and gas lease sales in Colorado's recent history, putting areas that provide critical wildlife habitat, migration corridors, recreational opportunities and even drinking water up for sale to fossil fuel interests.
❌Give more handouts to the fossil fuel industry by cutting the royalties oil and gas corporations must pay back to taxpayers to extract from public lands—padding executive pockets while the public gets pennies.
These reckless actions are part of a broader effort to weaken the safeguards that protect our wildest lands, wildlife, clean water and outdoor places we all cherish. All with the goal of privatizing our public lands.
