If you've been with us for long, you already know public lands are central to who we are and how we live. From the tundra of the Arctic to the deserts of the Southwest, public lands offer us all the freedom of incredible recreation in vanishing habitats—while also providing critical life support in the form of clean air and water.
But politicians in Washington, driven by a short-sighted "energy dominance" agenda, want to sell these lands off to the highest bidder at all our expense. If these lands are privatized or ravaged by industry, they're gone for good.
We recently published a report that highlights ten of the nation's most threatened public lands, places that are beloved by people across the country. All told, millions of acres are at risk of having vital protections stripped—opening them up to reckless drilling and mining. If these lands are harmed or lost to privatization, public health, Indigenous communities, local economies, outdoor access and wildlife will all suffer.
This isn't the first time some of our country's most special places have been under attack. Yet time and time again, we come together to stand up and defend these places, for our neighbors and for future generations. There is simply far too much to lose: Join us in telling the Trump administration, these are the lands we'll keep fighting for. And they are simply not for sale.
Thank you for your advocacy and support.
Sincerely,
